boycott rumbling on since last July now the number of South Korean tourists
traveling to Japan tumbled a whopping 80 percent on-year last month a data reveal
by local tour agency Hana tour on Thursday indicates an eighty four point
two percent drop despite December being a popular month for vacations the
regional instability in Hong Kong and China led to a more than forty four
percent drop in South Korean tourists visiting those places however a markedly
different trend is seen in Southeast Asia the number of South Korean visitors
to Thailand and Myanmar in December jumped 68 percent and 62 percent
respectively
